“Joanna, if you trust Me with your dreams, I’m going to take Magnolia further than you could’ve ever dreamed, so just trust me.”
Welcome, Sister! This month we decided to highlight Allie’s story a little differently by doing videos four weeks in a row, highlighting the seasons God has brought her through and how she has worked through rejection.
In 2012 while living in Nashville and working in the wedding industry, I connected with Lauren Atkinson, an incredible floral designer, dog lover and even more amazing of a person. Through various events, our friendship grew quickly and we have been blessed to walk many seasons together as friends. The seeds that God planted in […]
“Through it all I’ve learned to live in the season you’re in. I wasn’t always content in some of the seasons of our life. I’ve learned to deal with loss when I lost my mom one week after a stage four cancer diagnosis. I learned to forgive the past quickly when I only had two days to say all I needed to her after our relationship had remained strained for so many years. I learned to be grateful for those two days (and much more) in the months that followed as we moved to Oregon for Bobby’s work. I was alone in my grief on the other side of the country. It was in those 5 months that God met me right where I was. And it was in that season I learned that God had me right where he wanted me to be. I was where I needed to be and didn’t know it. God knew what was coming. But doesn’t He always?”

She is shaking up the culture of Nashville, bringing community, diversity and equality to women! Check out our highlight video below:
“Never did I expect to be a single mom (of 2). Never did I expect to get divorced. Never would I have expected to have a heart of love for my ex-husband. Releasing bitterness, anger, resentment, and having a true heart of compassion and respect for him…”
Motherhood was a role that took time for Yolanda. Between military, great aspirations of a career and motherhood, Yolanda battled bitterness and as she would ashamedly say, the stigma that comes along with being a “stay at home mom” most times. One of the most challenging seasons Steve and Yolanda walked was four months into their first pregnancy, with their son in early 1999. The elated couple went in for their gender reveal ultrasound. “This joyous occasion took a drastic turn when after the ultrasound technician waved the wand along my belly, she stopped and said she needed to go get the radiologist. Steve and I began o panic. Was something wrong? The radiologist and other technicians were brought in to look at our baby on the monitor. What was going on?
