Focus: Community

Our communities are inherently helpful, but often do not know how. Saying, “let me know if you need anything” often goes unanswered. Many people blessed our family most in these past five months just “showed up”.  Many of them are repeat offenders, showing up again and again. So next time you want to say, “Let me know if you need anything…” I would encourage you to try this instead… “I have two free hours on Saturday, can I watch your kids or walk your dog?” Or this…”I can bring you dinner on Tuesday or Wednesday night”. Essentially, deliver the offer to help with specifics where you feel you can meet a need.

Thank you!
