In 2010 God placed the word "Catalyst" in my heart. I began researching and learning about the use of the word and the potential purpose it could have. As the years have passed and life events occurred, the thing that keeps me up at night is the same, this desire for women to know their strength, their calling, their potential and purpose. For women to know their worth and value and calling out that warrior inside each of us.
When I would hear statements or campaigns to more like men, or that there was a need to compete or be in control, I needed a place for hope and encouragement. A place that reflected truth. I don't have all the answers, but I do have hope and a relentless desire to see marriages restored, families healed, self-worth and value elevated like never before and for each of us to grow in a relationship with Jesus.
So like any good woman, I called up one of my best friends, Morgan and we haven't stopped praying, writing or dreaming since. It's been pretty amazing.
I am choosing joy and loving Jesus. I'm a military wife, mother to Emmaus, Caleb and a Giant Schnauzer.
Give me a good vanilla latte with coconut milk and I am a happy girl!
In 2011, I founded and ran a nonprofit for 5 amazing years. The tagline was “Be the change for a change,” encouraging, challenging, and inviting every follower of Christ to put into action His call and vision for a better world. What I learned most of all is that change is dependent on one person… one person at a time. It takes one person to love well for change to happen. That person is a Catalyst.
Since then I have devoted my life to mentoring, ministering to, and discipling women. The most remarkable of these women are in Malawi, Africa, my home away from home. In a small slum outside the capitol city, you will find the women of The Duwa Project (www.theduwaproject.weebly.com). These are the women who make me want to be better and who push me to help other women be better, as well.
Danielle and I have known each other for what seems like forever and I am blessed to be a part of this journey!

In my spare time you’ll find me reading, resting, or reflecting- all key ingredients to my quality of life!
